Toner Versus Ink

The Toner versus Ink Talk

Some people might think that this is common sense, but for those not in the printing world they do not know the difference between toner versus ink. We would like to share the information on the topic.

Ink typically yields less pages than the toner due to the fact that inks do not need rollers like toners do. Inks are also used in Deskjets and Designjet printers. These printers print slower, but also provide a better image quality. The inks for the printers are also cheaper, but since they yield less pages are more costly because you have to buy them more frequently.

Toner yields more pages than the ink. Toner is a powder and the printer has a fusing unit that fuses the toner to the paper creating your image. Your LaserJet toners are more expensive, but they are able to print at a higher rate of speed. Depending on what types of toners you purchase, whether it is high yield or standard yield, all plays a factor in your price this also is the case for inks as well.
